Building novel blockchain technology.

The VINU Foundation builds and funds novel blockchain technology, and backs the people turning it into networks anyone can use.

A foundation for open blockchain technology.

The VINU Foundation develops novel blockchain technology, funds the independent teams building on it, and stewards the open networks that result. The goal is simple: make powerful infrastructure that anyone can use, and build on, without gatekeepers.

Develop

Build core protocols and novel blockchain research in the open.

Fund

Back independent builders with grants and hands-on support.

Steward

Maintain open, public networks for the long term, not for extraction.

What we've built.

A confidential, post-quantum Layer 1, developed in-house.

A self-developed Layer 1 with confidential transactions and post-quantum cryptography. Private by default, with compliance handled through a framework of regulated attestors.

Confidential by default

Amounts, balances and counterparties stay private on-chain, with no trusted setup.

Post-quantum security

Signatures and zk-STARK proofs withstand both classical and quantum computers.

Auditable privacy

Regulated attestors can certify a holder to a service provider, which checks only the signature and policy.

Regulation

Taking NYKS through MiCA.

The Foundation is preparing NYKS for the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, so a confidential network can be offered the right way: documented, classified and notified to regulators before it reaches the public.

MiCA: Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on markets in crypto-assets.

MiCAR white paper

A crypto-asset white paper drafted to MiCAR Annex I with external EU counsel, prepared for notification ahead of any public offering in the EEA.

Utility classification

An independent legal assessment under Article 8(4) treats NYKS as a utility-style crypto-asset, neither asset-referenced nor an e-money token.

Privacy that fits the rules

Confidentiality is the default on NYKS, and its attestor framework lets regulated parties certify holders to service providers without exposing transaction data.

The Foundation

We build the core, and fund what grows around it.

The VINU Foundation develops core protocol technology and backs independent teams building on it, through research, engineering and grants. If you are building something ambitious, we want to help.

01

Network performance

Keeping our networks fast and reliable as usage grows, from consensus to settlement.

02

Scalability research

Research into throughput and how the network holds up under real demand.

03

Developer experience

RPC, SDKs, explorers and docs so shipping on our networks feels familiar.

04

Applied DeFi

Lending, exchange and other primitives that push what on-chain apps can do.
